Max weight bike can support according to Kent:

according the the Kent general manual the max weight for their bike is 275 lbs.

29er tire

After some great comments I learned that bell also sells a 40 and 38mm tires and and it's even $5 cheaper. So I ended up repacking the 29er tires and returning them to walmart. Only after successfully returning them to walmart did I make the order on amazon.com for the new 40mm tires, at the time they didn't have and of the 38mm in stock.

One final note, just the other day while at Target, I saw the 38mm tire for sale there for about $21 each.
